Tobias Lundkvist-Mina
I’m a gameplay programmer specializing in AI and NPC behavior, which is where my main passion lies within game development.
I started programming as a hobby over 16 years ago and developed an early interest through visual scripting in games like Garry’s Mod, where I experimented with game logic and systems.
After several years pursuing an administrative career, I chose to fully commit to my passion for game development.
I am currently a student at The Game Assembly, where I’m continuing to develop my skills in gameplay programming with a strong focus on AI systems.
I enjoy working in collaborative team environments and value clear communication when developing systems together. While AI programming is where I feel most at home, I’m comfortable stepping into other areas of gameplay development when needed to support the team and the project.
My main interest lies in creating believable and engaging NPC behaviors that enhance gameplay and make game worlds feel more alive.
What motivates me most is seeing players interact with the systems I’ve created—when NPC behavior influences player decisions and creates memorable moments, that’s when I truly enjoy my work.
Outside of programming, I enjoy learning languages and exploring linguistics. I’ve learned German and am currently working on French.
